I've never had a bad meal from Indian Grill. When I first came here a few years ago, I knew it was going to be good from the aroma that permeated the air as we walked to the restaurant. The food is always fresh and hot. The service is always swift and friendly. The ambiance is cool enough for family night or for date night. Sometimes the music from the tv's are a little too loud but they are accommodating in turning it down if need be.

We just had an amazing dinner from Indian Grill . I highly recommend the Korma , Mattar Paneer and Vindaloo the sauces were excellent ! We also enjoyed the gobi Manchurian . Give yourself a treat and order a dinner

I was here with a large group and we ordered a ton of stuff. The food came fast and was delicious! Big portions.

This place was a gem!! We get thr muglai khadi paneer with garlic naan which was recommended by our server and it was amazing, we crave it every week. Small Family owned business, we highly recommend supporting if you want some bomb indian food in San Leandro.

Best Indian Place in downtown San Leandro We love their butter Chicken Samosa is very good also Every on this spot is amazing People are friendly I highly recommend them Their food is not extremely spicy which what I love because you can request your food to be mild or super spicy and that's what I love about this place

Finally, San Leandro has a good Indian restaurant! As someone who has tried every single Indian restaurant in town, I have to say this is by far my favorite. Everything from the service to the food has been an excellent experience. I usually get the Veggie Korma and their "bread basket" that has the most delicious variety of naan. I highly recommend!

Ordered online and had it delivered. The food came piping hot and super fresh. The lamb vindaloo was super tender and flavorful and the rice was even delicious by itself. The samosas were crispy on the outside and the filling was fluffy and flavorful on the inside. I have only had the food delivered so I can't speak to the ambience of the restaurant but if you're at home craving Indian food this place can't be beat.

This place has some of the best Indian Food in the area. There are so many different types of Indian food due to so many regions there. This ploace is definateley worth a try. Do the dine in option though. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel like you are the only and /or best customer there.

We had a positive experience here overall, but some dishes were much better than others. The service was decent and the space is pleasant. Our group of 3 shared the following (and had plenty of leftovers): 1) Goat curry - excellent - we really enjoyed this! 2) Chicken tikka - flavorful 3) Chicken seeks kebab - good 4) Palak paneer - disappointing 5) Naan - quite thin; not fluffy and soft The chutneys and raita that came with our naan were appreciated. The service was decent. They took our orders promptly, and the food came out quickly. They never checked on us after that, which was disappointing. We had to flag someone down to request boxes for our leftovers and get our check. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The bathroom was clean. Overall, a good spot.

A solid 4. Ordered the lamb curry and chicken tiki masala. Food was delicious and appropriately spiced. Garlic and jalapeno naan was crispy and perfectly cooked. Waitstaff was friendly. Will definitely go again!

I usually do take out at this place. I have been spice-adverse all of my life so, I have avoided Indian Food my whole adult life. I tried this place and I am now a convert. The food here is delicious and they accommodate me and recommend dishes that are not high on the spice meter. I recommend this place and thank them for expanding my culinary experience.

Excellent butter chicken and rice and raita, and naan! Things to be improved: Dhaal was on the watery side this time. We ordered cucumber salad with mint dressing and instead got ranch...so that was odd. Otherwise the food overall was delicious

Don't let the simple name fool you. This place is more than DELICIOUS! The food is always fresh, made fairly fast and clean! The best Indian food in town.

I've ordered from Indian Grill twice for takeout, and I highly recommend their food, especially for parties. Medium spice is just that: medium spice. Good flavor and doesn't blow anyone's head off, especially considering my very spice-sensitive husband. At least he and I can agree on that point! While it may seem as though the entrees are pricey, keep in mind that they're generous. My advice for a party of 10-12 is to order 6 entrees, 3 orders of rice, and 1 order of onion-garlic naan, which you can cut into smaller servings to serve your party. You should be good to go. Favorites: Chicken mushroom tikka masala, Chicken vindaloo, Aloo palak saag, Lamb palak, Mattar malai methi paneer. If you want to start your party of 10-12 with appetizers, you might consider two orders of the veg pagoda, which comes with tamarind and (I think) mint sauce. The veg pagoda was by far the spiciest part of our order, but who can deny veg fritters?

Fantastic food! One star off due to small portions and high prices. You'd think if you're paying $18.99 for a dish it would be enough to share with two or three people. But no, it was a personal sized bowl. The food was flavorful but I dooubt I would return because it was very expensive for the small amount provided. It's not like it's a fancy restaurant with cloth on the table and such. It's just a basic restaurant. All in all I enjoyed the meal and was fine after. The person I ate with felt sick later and we ate different things so I don't know if it was from something she ate there or something she ate somewhere else.

tried their chicken biryani and their butter chicken with garlic naan. trust me when i say that they have the best indian food in the bay area. I have tried indian food in england, canada, UAE and australia but i swear to god that this meal was the best that i have had.

Delicious authentic Indian food in San Leandro! Highly recommend. The service was good, they were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in but it seemed like a pretty active take out area too. The restaurant was clean though a bit sparse as far as decorating but the food made up for it.

Solid homies. Good veggie options. Tandoori fish is my son's new fave. Cool, low-key spot, sometimes has the footy (soccer) playing. Chill bredrin with tats has an easy manner and kind service style. Our local Indian spottie. Mad nice.

Overpriced for the portion, but good food. The entree was $18.99 and didn’t come with rice ($5.99). This does NOT deserve to be a $25 meal. It did have a good amount of meat, but the container was small and there was no rice in a meal that you always eat with rice

We have done dine in, take out, and delivery. The food is always excellent and consistent. The lights in the restaurant are very bright, so we don’t usually like to dine in, but this is one of our go-to places to order food delivery.
