Indian Grill prides itself on creating a fine dine-in experience that is both elegant and comfortable. From the moment you step in, you'll be greeted by friendly staff ready to ensure your visit is memorable. One of the most beloved dishes at Indian Grill, Butter Chicken, is a rich and creamy delight. This dish involves marinating chicken in a blend of spices and yogurt before cooking it in a tandoor (clay oven). The succulent chicken pieces are then simmered in a tomato-based gravy enriched with butter and cream, resulting in a dish that's both flavorful and comforting. For vegetarians, Paneer Tikka Masala is a must-try. Paneer is marinated in a mix of spices and grilled to perfection. It is then simmered in a creamy tomato sauce, similar to Butter Chicken, but with a unique taste that highlights the paneer's texture and flavor. Chicken Tikka Masala is also a highlight here. This dish features boneless chicken chunks marinated in spices and yogurt, grilled, and then cooked in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce. The fusion of smoky grilled chicken with the rich sauce makes it a favorite among many.Innovative Indian Cuisine

A solid 4. Ordered the lamb curry and chicken tiki masala. Food was delicious and appropriately spiced. Garlic and jalapeno naan was crispy and perfectly cooked. Waitstaff was friendly. Will definitely go again!

I usually do take out at this place. I have been spice-adverse all of my life so, I have avoided Indian Food my whole adult life. I tried this place and I am now a convert. The food here is delicious and they accommodate me and recommend dishes that are not high on the spice meter. I recommend this place and thank them for expanding my culinary experience.

The food was so good and the price was pretty good. The guy was so nice. I would prefer you to come here.

Love coming here for my butter chicken, fix! Whether it's dining in or to go, it's my go to spot! Parking is easy, and the staff is great!

Excellent butter chicken and rice and raita, and naan! Things to be improved: Dhaal was on the watery side this time. We ordered cucumber salad with mint dressing and instead got ranch...so that was odd. Otherwise the food overall was delicious

Eramos solo 2 latinos entre 20 indios. Habla del sabor original. Chicken tikka masala, vegetable samosa, butter chicken y postre. Todo delicioso. Porciones considerables al precio. $70.00 mas propina. Baños limpios, no olía a cocina, música india. Pagamos por la experiencia y el sabor. Claro que regresaremos.

Don't let the simple name fool you. This place is more than DELICIOUS! The food is always fresh, made fairly fast and clean! The best Indian food in town.

I've ordered from Indian Grill twice for takeout, and I highly recommend their food, especially for parties. Medium spice is just that: medium spice. Good flavor and doesn't blow anyone's head off, especially considering my very spice-sensitive husband. At least he and I can agree on that point! While it may seem as though the entrees are pricey, keep in mind that they're generous. My advice for a party of 10-12 is to order 6 entrees, 3 orders of rice, and 1 order of onion-garlic naan, which you can cut into smaller servings to serve your party. You should be good to go. Favorites: Chicken mushroom tikka masala, Chicken vindaloo, Aloo palak saag, Lamb palak, Mattar malai methi paneer. If you want to start your party of 10-12 with appetizers, you might consider two orders of the veg pagoda, which comes with tamarind and (I think) mint sauce. The veg pagoda was by far the spiciest part of our order, but who can deny veg fritters?

Fantastic food! One star off due to small portions and high prices. You'd think if you're paying $18.99 for a dish it would be enough to share with two or three people. But no, it was a personal sized bowl. The food was flavorful but I dooubt I would return because it was very expensive for the small amount provided. It's not like it's a fancy restaurant with cloth on the table and such. It's just a basic restaurant. All in all I enjoyed the meal and was fine after. The person I ate with felt sick later and we ate different things so I don't know if it was from something she ate there or something she ate somewhere else.

tried their chicken biryani and their butter chicken with garlic naan. trust me when i say that they have the best indian food in the bay area. I have tried indian food in england, canada, UAE and australia but i swear to god that this meal was the best that i have had.

Delicious authentic Indian food in San Leandro! Highly recommend. The service was good, they were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in but it seemed like a pretty active take out area too. The restaurant was clean though a bit sparse as far as decorating but the food made up for it.

Back again for delicious meal. excellent Indian food we haven't had a dish yet that we didn't like

Solid homies. Good veggie options. Tandoori fish is my son's new fave. Cool, low-key spot, sometimes has the footy (soccer) playing. Chill bredrin with tats has an easy manner and kind service style. Our local Indian spottie. Mad nice.

Despite the somewhat unkempt appearance of the restaurant, the food offerings stood out as some of the finest I have experienced. As for the service they don't bother you and you can't really find them either, ykyk.

I have ordered take out from here many times. Every time the order is ready quickly and correctly. ONE time the order was wrong and the cashier offered me a fun refund for the item I was missing as well as providing me with a replacement. The rice is always fresh and the spice levels you choose are very accurate. The butter chicken has been my favorite so far.

No wait at 6 on a Monday night, though more customers steadily trickled in after us. Service was quick and attentive. We shared an order of vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, jalapeno garlic naan, and rice. We were expecting decent standard fare, but were surprised by how well done the dishes were. The tikka masala ended up being incredibly flavorful and delicious. By not being overly cream-based like at many other places, the spices and tender chicken really shined through. The jalapeno garlic naan was soft, and the samosas tasted just right. They also gave free raita along with the standard mint and tamarind chutneys. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back the next time we're in San Leandro.

My daughter was flying in and had never had Indian food. So I searched for one near the airport. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the butter chicken with garlic and plain Naan. We also ordered the crispy potato cakes and had gulab jamun for dessert. Our server was Vir and he was attentive and kind. Amazing service, amazing food, and prices are reasonable. We absolutely loved this place!

Finally, a solid Indian food restaurant. Now I admit, I'm sure it's pretty Americanized in flavor but damn it was really good! Big portions and enough of the protein selected. Next time, I'll up the spice heat level a bit but there was nothing wrong with the spice richness. The butter chicken with tandoori chicken perfectly satisfied my cravings. The lamb Korma sauce was very rich and the meat had been cooked it it fell apart. The pilau could have had a bit more spice but it was super delicious and a great accompaniment. The food arrive incredibly fast and was hot! This is now my Go-to for local mid East Bay Indian spot. So excited to visit in person.

They cook with canola oil. Good food, bit pricey. $60 for two items, rice & naan (total with tax & tip). They gave us 3 sauces, maybe it came with the naan, sooooo yum to add to the dishes & rice. Very casual place, good for kids. Parking tip! The lot next to the restaurant is free for customers, there is a QR code on their counter inside. We did not know about this & had "tickets" on our cars when we came out, but they guy at the restaurant kindly fixed it for us.

We have done dine in, take out, and delivery. The food is always excellent and consistent. The lights in the restaurant are very bright, so we don’t usually like to dine in, but this is one of our go-to places to order food delivery.

Great Indian takeout in San Leandro / Oakland boarder. Warning: butter chicken is addictive! Signs of withdrawal: watery mouth, lack of interest in other food and dream about an orange creamy stew over basmati rice. Tip: spicy option is HOOOT. Settle for medium

By far the best Indian food in San Leandro and better than a lot of Oakland’s. Dishes are well spiced, complex without being overwhelming and just the right sauce level to be good with rice or nan. Service is excellent.
